Following the public national address from the President of South Africa on 23 March 2020, and specifically his announcement that South Africa will go under “lock down”, which lock down is due to start at midnight on 26 March 2020 until midnight on 16 April 2020. This lock down includes, but not limited to, all non-essential services and Companies rendering such non-essential services. On this basis we wish to escalate the following message to you, our valued Clients.
Faced with the accelerated spread of the COVID-19 in South Africa (and Africa as a whole), our focus is on the safety and the well-being of our employees, who are vital to supporting you and your business, as well as the communities we operate in. Our second area of concern is the safety and continued service of our customers as we are committed to working in partnership with our Clients to maintain our service standards and ensure our Clients maintain health, safety, environmental and quality compliance as much as possible within the necessary restrictions.
Our Clients’ business continuity is a key priority. We want to minimize service disruptions and the impact on your business. Our goal is to offer the level of quality, responsiveness and support that you expect from the Company. We have therefore ensured to put in place a series of controls and measures to support the containment of the virus. The Company has a Health and Safety Officer who coordinates and discusses all safety matters with the Management team.
Our task force has proactively worked with each of our critical business functions and support facilities to adapt to this new working environment while we implement our own continuity plans.
Thus, the result is that we can offer our testing services in our laboratories and remote inspections.
We are monitoring the situation in real time and will provide updates if necessary relating to any possible delays in services or where services would be rendered impossible to render.
