BV Trust Makers in South Africa #ShapeaBetterWorld with a Month of Giving Back & Ubuntu

Aug. 6 2025

Bureau Veritas South Africa team in Johannesburg dedicated five impactful days across the month of July  giving back to communities in and around the city.

In the spirit of Ubuntu — the belief in a universal bond of sharing that connects all humanity — our team came together to uplift, support, and bring joy to those in need.

Highlights From A Month of #Ubuntu

  • 1 July 2025
In partnership with Ladles of Love, Bureau Veritas volunteers spent the day preparing fresh, nourishing soup for Early Childhood Development (ECD) centres in Johannesburg. The team worked tirelessly on nourishment initiatives, preparing and distributing meals and care packages to individuals and families facing food insecurity.
  • 9 July 2025
Bureau Veritas donated essential food supplies to Manger Care Centre in Benoni. The centre supports community members through skill development and rehabilitation programs, particularly via agricultural activities that promote self-sufficiency and empowerment.
  • 18 July 2025
Bureau Veritas partnered once again with Ladles of Love to support their large-scale food relief efforts. Our team helped build food packages and prepared peanut butter and jam sandwiches, contributing to the goal of feeding thousands across the city. The event showcased the power of teamwork and compassion in addressing hunger and hardship.
  • 25 July 2025
Bureau Veritas Solutions South Africa Pty Ltd donated educational supplies to Little Treasury Day Care in Eldorado Park, creating joyful and stimulating learning environments for children in under-resourced areas. The donation included 15 foam beds, 7 sets of kiddies’ tables and chairs, colouring books and supplies, storage containers, blankets, pillows, A4 whiteboards, and flip files.
These resources support early childhood development by fostering creativity, comfort, and engagement — essential elements for cognitive and emotional growth during formative years.
  • 30 July 2025
The team spent the day painting the Promise of Hope ECD Centre, transforming its walls with vibrant shades of red, blue, yellow, and green. These bright colours are known to stimulate learning and creativity in young children, helping to create a more engaging and inspiring educational space.

The team’s dedication to making a difference reflects our ongoing commitment to being a force for good in the communities we serve.
